What is a Computer Science Education Week?

Computer Science Education Week is an annual call to act to inspire K-12 students to better understand computers and celebrate the contributions of students, teachers, and other partners in the field. This is an opportunity to discuss the role played by computers in our lives. This is also an opportunity to show students how computers can be part of their outside interest and career in the future.

Why is the Computer Science Week important?

Children who enjoy playing online games with their friends and learning codes can benefit from classes and tutorials that teach them basic skills. Offering activities that help maintain their interest in computers, both inside and outside the classroom, will involve them further. Taking part in computer science weeks is also useful for children who might want to continue their studies in computer science.

When is Computer Science Week 2025?

Computer Science Week will be held from 8-14 December 2025.
